Santa Cruz, CA—April 24, 2012–

The One and Only Dave Dixon and Santa Cruz's very own, Lee Pate, Zumba instructors extraordinaire will be leading the festivities.

Join the fun and get a great workout, while supporting the next phase in FleaHab’s innovative approach to recovery. FleaHab hopes to raise $6000 toward housing for a sober living environment where the joy of exercise offers a powerful alternative to the lure of substance abuse.

“So far, ten people have enjoyed the FleaHab experience, replacing drugs and alcohol with exercise and a healthy lifestyle. We’ve had great results and we know the system works. Now we need a house to provide an ongoing program.”

There will be a raffle, light refreshments, best dressed contest and prizes!

The event will take place at Harbor High Gymnasium on May 19th, 2012 from 10 AM to noon. A donation of $20 (or more) through the PayPal link on the FleaHab website (www.FleaHab.org) will secure a place for you at this very special event. Tickets will be available at Zumba classes and at the door.

FleaHab, Inc. is a non-profit organization based in Santa Cruz, California created to provide a safe and sober living environment that integrates exercise and a healthy lifestyle into the recovery process for those afflicted with drug or alcohol addiction. FleaHab will be an alternative sober living program for clients interested in a more holistic approach to recovery.  Come support FleaHab, an innovative member of the drug and alcohol rehabilitation community!

Party On! Fabulous Zumba Fundraiser for FleaHab, May 19th 10AM-12 at Harbor High

Join the fun and get a great workout, while supporting the next phase in FleaHab’s innovative approach to recovery: A sober living environment where the joy of exercise offers a powerful alternative to the lure of substance abuse.

Three instructors: The one and only, Dave Dixon (making a special trip from San Jose), Santa Cruz’s very own Lee Pate, and Brenda Sproule, will be starting things off with a 30 minute instruction class.

Dance to Zumba rhythms along with Darryl “Flea” Virostko (and a lot of other happy people).

Darryl Singleton will be beating the bongos to get everyone’s heart rate up.

There will be a raffle, light refreshments, and a lot of laughter. It all takes place at the Harbor High Gymnasium on May 19th, 2012 from 10 AM to noon. Tickets are only $20  – available at the door, and through the FleaHab website. A donation of $20 (or more) through the PayPal link will secure a place for you at this very special event.

With support from his friends and family, some of them part of the newly formed Board of Directors FleaHab’s, the benefit to raise money and awareness for a Sober Living Environment.
